A gorgeous large freeform Nevada Mine Eight Turquoise bezel set in a 18ct yellow gold with a sterling silver back, on a sparkling sterling silver chain. This stone is a one off, no other will look like this.

Chain length 20 inches. But pair it with a paperclip chain and it would be a delicate statement.

This turquoise was mined in Carlin, Nevada and discovered in 1925. The mine was called Number 8 and currently is used to mine for gold. The biggest nuggets of turquoise ever found came from this mine. The turquoise that comes from the Number 8 mine are composed of a spider-web matrix ranging from black to gold brown with the turquoise colour grades from extremely dark blue to light blue. The last turquoise to mined from Number 8 mine was in 1976, with stockpiles that are still on the market today. it is looked upon as some of the most premium turquoise ever discovered.
